SALARY AND BENEFITS

The Staten Island University - Lenox Hill Hospital Neurology residency program offers a generous and highly competitive salary and benefit plan that reflects the cost of living in New York City.  Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance, short term and long term disability insurance, salary continuation during disability, employer paid life insurance, health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, retirement savings plans with employer matching, and malpractice insurance including tail coverage.  Neurology residents also benefit from annual education allowances for study materials, courses and conferences in addition to an annual meal allowance.

To help offset the cost of living in NYC, residents are provided a housing stipend annually.  Residents are also reimbursed for any post-call travel expenses to get home after their long call shifts.  Residents are also reimbursed for travel to any national conferences where they will be participating in.
