APPLYING FOR RESIDENCY

We accept 6 neurology residents per year.  Neurology training starts in the PGY2 year after completion of a preliminary medicine year.  Applicants applying to our Advanced (A) track have the option of a guaranteed preliminary medicine PGY1 position at one of our institutions.  Applicants applying for the Advanced (A) track will start their neurology training with us in their PGY2 year after completion of their PGY1 preliminary medicine year.  Please let us know if you are interested in a preliminary medicine  position at our institutions when you apply.

 

Our application deadline is January 6th but we strongly encourage candidates to submit their applications as early as possible.  We begin contacting applicants selected to interview after applications are released in mid-October.  We hold interviews from late October through early January, excluding major holidays.  Please notify us within 72 hours of receiving an interview offer to confirm your interview date and let us know if you are interested in a preliminary medicine spot at our institutions.  Interviews during the 2021-2022 season will be held remotely in accordance with AAN and ACGME guidelines.  We will be using the Thalamus scheduling platform for interview offers and acceptances.

 

Candidates should submit applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) to our program (ID# 1803500156).  We will be participating in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) for 2022. Our NRMP Program code is 1515180A0.
